What schools cost near Devanahalli and Yelahanka: 24 fee ranges
Families looking at homes on this corridor ask two things about schools. How close are they, and how much do they charge? Our drive-times guide covers distance. This page covers cost, because very few sources set school fees out in a way you can actually compare.
In brief
Yearly fees at schools around Yelahanka and the airport belt range from about ₹45,000 to ₹12.7 lakh. The priciest school costs roughly twenty-eight times the cheapest. Schools fall into four rough bands.
- Budget schools, below ₹1 lakh a year.
- A broad middle band, from ₹1 lakh to ₹2 lakh.
- Premium Indian-curriculum schools, about ₹4 lakh to ₹7 lakh.
- International IB and Cambridge schools, from ₹5 lakh up to ₹12.7 lakh.
Whatever the listed yearly fee, the first year always costs more.

The listed fee is only the start
School fees work much like a property price list: the headline number is rarely what you end up paying.
Example: G.K. Gurukul
G.K. Gurukul publishes clear figures, so it makes a useful example. For Classes I to VII, the yearly fee is ₹1,26,500. On top of that sits a one-time admission charge of ₹60,000 and a ₹10,000 refundable deposit. Books, uniforms, shoes and the school bus cost extra. So a year advertised at ₹1.27 lakh comes closer to ₹2 lakh, and that is before transport.
The international end
The gap grows at the top of the market. Stonehill's tuition for 2026-27 is published at between roughly ₹5.81 lakh and ₹12.67 lakh. There is an application fee as well, and admission or enrolment charges reported at ₹1.5 lakh to ₹2.5 lakh. For Canadian International, reported first-year totals, including one-time charges, range from around ₹5.7 lakh to ₹10.9 lakh. Independent fee websites are a handy way to cross-check before you call a school.
Costs the yearly fee usually leaves out
- A one-off admission charge.
- A refundable deposit.
- Books and uniforms.
- The school bus.
Around here, transport can be a large cost. Good schools are ten to thirty-five minutes away, often in different directions.
What each band offers
Budget, under ₹1 lakh. The two cheapest options on our list are Aditya National Public School and Cambridge CBSE Academy. Teaching follows established CBSE and ICSE boards, with bigger classes and fewer facilities. For many families this is a perfectly sound choice.
Middle, ₹1 lakh to ₹2 lakh. Most families end up here. The band includes NPS Yelahanka, Presidency, EuroSchool, VIBGYOR, Orchids, Ryan, Podar and Chrysalis. Schools in this band differ less in curriculum and more in campus, sports facilities and bus routes.
Premium Indian curriculum, ₹4 lakh to ₹7 lakh. Mallya Aditi and Vidyashilp. Both are selective and long-running, with strong results and a tougher admissions process than the middle band.
International, ₹5 lakh to ₹12.7 lakh. Canadian International and Stonehill, teaching IB and Cambridge programmes. These suit families who may move abroad or want a portable curriculum. Otherwise the cost is hard to justify.
Distance matters more than a table suggests
Most schools on this list are around Yelahanka, twenty-five to thirty-five minutes from the KIADB Phase 2 side of Devanahalli. That means two school runs a day, through traffic, for about ten years. Four other schools lie within fifteen minutes of Prestige Parklane, and they are not on this fee list. Use both sources together. Shortlist by fee here, check the travel time, then drive the route once on a school morning before deciding.
Questions to ask during admission
Fee tables give you the headline. These questions reveal what you will really pay and experience.
- What does the first year cost in total, including admission, deposit, books, uniforms and bus?
- How much have fees gone up each year over the past three years?
- Is the admission charge refunded if we withdraw before term starts?
- Does the bus serve our area, and how long is the ride?
- How many children are usually in a class at our child's grade?
- Are meals, activities and exam fees included, or billed separately?
Ask for answers in writing where possible, since verbal quotes are easy to forget by the time the second child joins. The question about yearly increases matters most. At 10 per cent a year, a fee roughly doubles in seven years, which changes a long-term budget far more than the starting amount.
School fees plus your home loan
After the home loan, school fees are usually the largest regular cost a family carries. Yet few people plan the two together. Here is how they combine at Prestige Parklane for a family with two children. EMIs assume an 80 per cent loan at 7.75 per cent over 20 years, and maintenance at ₹5 per sq ft a month.
| Home | School tier, two children | EMI a year | Maintenance a year | School a year | Total a month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 BHK, ₹90 L | Mid range, ₹1.5 L each | ₹7.09 L | ₹0.53 L | ₹3.00 L | About ₹88,500 |
| 2 BHK, ₹90 L | Premium, ₹5.5 L each | ₹7.09 L | ₹0.53 L | ₹11.00 L | About ₹1.55 L |
| 3 BHK 2T, ₹1.50 Cr | Mid range, ₹1.5 L each | ₹11.82 L | ₹0.87 L | ₹3.00 L | About ₹1.31 L |
| 3 BHK 2T, ₹1.50 Cr | Premium, ₹5.5 L each | ₹11.82 L | ₹0.87 L | ₹11.00 L | About ₹1.97 L |
These figures leave out admission charges, bus fees and yearly increases, so treat them as minimums. Moving from mid-range to premium schools adds roughly ₹66,000 a month by itself. For many families that decision matters more than choosing a two or three bedroom. Fees also go up every year. Two children at ₹1.5 lakh each cost ₹3 lakh now, and more each year after that, for fifteen years.
What this means for Devanahalli buyers
Plan school fees alongside the EMI from the start, not as an afterthought. There is a positive side too. With schools in every price band from ₹45,000 to ₹12.7 lakh, families can genuinely settle here. Not every new Bengaluru area can say that.
Timing also matters. Prestige Parklane's completion date is 31 December 2030, so a child starting school today will be several years in by then. Plan around the school they will attend at that point.
