Devanahalli is in North Bangalore, in the Bengaluru Rural district, and lies to the northeast of the main city. It sits on the road belt that runs along NH 44 and NH 648 toward the airport. This town is best known as the home of Kempegowda International Airport.

Devanahalli sits apart from the older, busy core of Bangalore. Instead, it forms its own growth zone, built around flights, factories, and new jobs.

The area has housed top-end housing townships, and one of the upcoming projects here is Prestige Park Lane. It is brought by Prestige Group, and sits within this belt at KIADB Phase 2. This site pairs around 1,800 homes with its own business park, spread across 32.26 acres. The airport sits about 20 km away by road, close to 29 minutes under normal traffic.

Transit Options in Devanahalli

Devanahalli is connected with the city by various travel options, and these options keep increasing as the population here booms.

Road

NH 44, NH 648 and SH 104 pass through this belt. The Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR) provides yet another route for the airport zone. Drive time from central Bangalore is 60 to 90 minutes, depending on conditions.

Rail

A 45-km rail line is being implemented connecting KSR Bengaluru to this belt, with a small branch line running to the airport. The older rail stations in the vicinity of Devanahalli are some distance away, so the majority of people living here still prefer road transit.

Bus

BMTC's Vayu Vajra services run between the city and airport from the major city hubs. Fares are from around Rs 100 to Rs 300 depending on the place of origin. Trip time is one and a half to two and a half hours from most areas of the city.

Cab

Cabs booked via apps from central Bangalore cost Rs 700 to Rs 1,200. Trip time lines up well with road traffic, so budget 60 to 90 minutes each way.

Metro

The upcoming Blue Line will link Central Silk Board to the airport zone. This line is still under construction today, with sections due through 2027. Until it opens, road trips remain the best way to travel.
